The Bremen Blue Devils’ 2020 football season ended Friday night at the Class AA Elite 8, as they fell to Jefferson County 33-10.
The Bremen Blue Devils will be heading over to east Georgia for their third straight playoff game on Friday, this time with Jefferson County.

The day after Thanksgiving isn’t just about the start of Christmas sales and Black Friday — for high school football teams means first-round playoff matchups begin.
The regular season ended Friday for local teams, with Bowdon, Bremen, Carrollton, and Mt. Zion coming away with victories.
After battling through a season of uncertainty because of COVID-19, the high school regular football season ends this week.
Several key games were played last week with Heard, Bowdon, and Mt. Zion taking key wins.

This week’s football schedule kicked off with a rare Tuesday night game as Haralson County won the Region 5-AA contest 36-29 against Callaway.

Carrollton senior Collin Jones is a busy three-sport athlete for the Trojans.
With Carrollton, Central, Bowdon, Mt. Zion, and Heard County off last week, there were only four local teams in action Friday.
