Outdoor retreat and conservation center Historic Banning Mills recently hired new head chef Takesha Williams to helm the kitchen. With her skill set and experience as executive chef at Falling Creek Camp and Joe’s Bar and Grille, Williams will add a unique perspective and background to the kitchen at Banning Mills’ Adventure Resort.
Williams was born in the Philippines and studied at the Art Institute of Atlanta, where she gained an appreciation and skill for international flavors and the preparation of global cuisine. She aspires to one day own her own restaurant.
“We are ecstatic to welcome chef Williams to our team to really showcase the expansive menu and offerings that we are able to provide for our guests at Banning Mills. Our guests have come to expect the best when visiting us and we strive to exceed that expectation in every area, including the dining experiences,” said Donna Holder, owner of Historic Banning Mills.
Banning Mills is known to host incredible specialty meals such as the upcoming six-course Valentine’s Day dinner and the team is available to host special occasion gatherings and arrange for custom tailored menus to accommodate any budget.
