The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has released an artist’s sketch of a suspect wanted in the Sept. 8 armed robbery of a Title Max store at the intersection of Thornton Road and Bankhead Highway.

The suspect is described as an African-American male, about 30-35 years old, around 5 feet 8 inches tall, medium build about 180 pounds, very dark complexion, with significant acne scarring on the cheeks. One front tooth is longer than the other, the description says.

Officers said the lone suspect entered the business around 11 a.m., carrying a black semi-automatic handgun, possibly a 9 mm weapon. He fled on foot, carrying an undisclosed amount of cash in a black plastic bag.

Anybody having information about the suspect or the robbery should call Investigator Susan Sweat at 770-920-7138.
