Buchanan Farmer’s Market
Vendors and shoppers are welcome to the Buchanan Farmer’s Market every Thursday through the fall from 7 a.m. to noon. There is a $5 fee for vendors to cover advertising costs. The Bremen Board of Education will hold a called board meeting on at 7 a.m. Monday, May 24. The purpose of this meeting is to receive the preliminary budget and the revised calendar. The Bremen Board of Education holds its regular board meeting on the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Warren Sewell Administration Building located at 504 Laurel St. in Bremen. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 14. All board meetings are open to the public.
Buddy Poppy Drive Once Again
The Veterans of Foreign Wars has been distributing Buddy Poppies since 1922 with proceeds from donations used exclusively to assist disabled, needy veterans and the widows and children. The drive will begin Memorial Day weekend. V.F.W. and Ladies Auxiliary will be giving them out and any donations will be appreciated. Wear you poppy with pride!
