Mrs. Everton was born June 9, 1923, in Norfolk, Va., the daughter of the late Marie Anna Merrion Tyree and Harry Percival Tyree.
She retired as a clerk from Fort Benning and was member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Denton Cloy Everton; sons, Dennis Everton and Raymond Everton; and two sisters.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jaye and Henry Kile of Columbus; son, Patrick Everton of Atlanta; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Harold Wallace of Carrollton; sister, Wanda McMillan of Chesapeake Bay, Va.; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Martha Tyree of Chesapeake Bay, Va.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be May 6 at 10 a.m. from Arlington National Cemetery.
