The Carrollton High School junior-varsity football team defeated Villa Rica, 43-6, on Thursday to improve to 3-0 on the season.
Dallas Dickey got the Trojans on the board first with a 1-yard keeper, which with Joseph Ingui’s extra point made it 7-0. After Villa Rica scored its lone touchdown, Dickey struck Mykel Hudson on a 10-yard touchdown pass. Desmond Addison added the two-point conversion.
Carrollton got a 3-yard touchdown run from Damon Addison and a 35-yard touchdown pass from Dickey to Marcel Manago before the half, as well as two more Ingui extra points for the 29-6 halftime advantage.
Devin Watts had a 2-yard touchdown run and Carlos Hutton capped off the scoring with a 30-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Craig Barry connected on both second-half extra points.

Carrollton 9th grade 38, Villa Rica 6: Javarious Jackson had a 68-yard touchdown run for the Trojans, while Duffee Dortch had a 2-yard sneak and a 15-yard touchdown pass to Drew Dickey. Dan Harris also got into the end zone on a 3-yard run. Dickey also connected on a 25-yard field goal.
Dickey and Kahlil Wynn had interceptions for the Trojans.
Dortch was selected as the offensive player of the game, while Wynn was named the defensive player of the game.
Carrollton 8th grade 36, Central 0: Ben Kersy had touchdown runs of 5 and 20 yards, while Malik Sheppard added a 20-yard touchdown run, Brandon Delaney had a 10-yard touchdown run and Joshua Mitchell recorded a 20-yard touchdown run for the Trojans (5-0). Tyler Newsome had a field goal and three extra points in the win.
Bremen 8th grade 30, Mt. Zion 20: Voltair Driver had touchdown runs of 50, 60 and 20 yards for the Blue Devils (3-2), while Trent McClure connected on a 50-yard touchdown pass to Cody Eller.
Bay Springs 8th grade 22, Haralson County 12: Wade Bailey, Paul Reeves and Landon Stephens had touchdowns for Bay Springs.
Heard County 8th grade 22, Jonesville 14: Marcus Thurman and Devin Montgomery had touchdowns for the Red Devils with an extra point from Hunter Ware.

Bowdon 13, Darlington 1: The Red Devilettes collected the Region 6-A road win with an offensive barrage led by Billie Langley (2-for-3, RBI), Kayla Williams (2-for-3, 2B, RBI), Jessie Whitlock (2-for-3, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI), Lyric Maze (1-for-2, HR, 4 RBI), Lindsey Rooks (1-for-1, 2B, 2 runs, RBI), Ciera Ivey (1-for-1, RBI) and Trinity Strickland (1-for-3).
Temple 3, Model 2; Temple 9, Chattooga 1: The Lady Tigers won two games on the road Thursday to qualify for the Region 7-AA tournament, which starts Saturday morning in Adairsville.
Christina Deutsch was 1-for-3 and had the game-winning home run for Temple (6-19) against Model, with Taylor Luke (2-for-3, 2B) also leading the Lady Tigers at the plate against the Lady Blue Devils.
Nicole Mason (3-for-4, 3-run HR), Kayla Thompson (3-for-4, 2-run HR) and Katie Thomas (3-for-3, 2B, 3-run HR) led the way for Temple in the six-inning win against Chattooga.
Thomas earned both wins in the circle, pitching a combined 13 innings for the day.
