Trevor Pollard pitched a no-hitter as Bowdon beat Excel Christian, 11-0, in five innings for a Region 6-A victory at home Tuesday.
Pollard struck out nine over the five innings and Will Young had a big game at the plate, hitting a ground-rule double and a triple for Bowdon (13-1, 2-1 Region 6-A).
In other baseball action:
Bremen 7, Trion 3: Caleb Westmoreland had a three-run home run to help lead the Blue Devils to a Region 6-A victory at home.
Westmoreland (1-for-3, 3 RBI, run), Gary Perkins (1-for-3, 2 RBI) and Jay Wade (2-for-2) led Bremen offensively.
Curt Barrett pitched 3.1 scoreless innings in relief to get the win for Bremen (11-1, 3-0 Region 6-A). Barrett gave up three hits, four walks and struck out three. Jim Mauk started for the Blue Devils, allowing two earned runs on three hits.
Carrollton JV 9, Bremen 4: Duffy Dortch (2-for-3), Justin Schurfield (1-for-3) and Tevin McCoy (2 runs) led the Trojans offensively in their victory Tuesday at Barry Carroll Field. Carrollton (7-0) had seven hits in the victory.
Dylan Ross allowed two earned runs in 5.1 innings, scattering three hits and striking out five to pick up the win. Joshua Barge recorded the final two outs.

Bremen 150, Haralson County 164: The Blue Devils were led by Jessie Jones, who shot an even-par 36. Matthew Hatchett had a 37, Mitch Folds shot a 38 while Kendall Carroll and Heath Walker both had a 39 in the nine-hole match at The Lion.
Bremen will continue playing against strong competition this weekend as it takes its top four golfers to Columbus to compete in a 50-team, two-day tourney hosted by Hardaway High School. The competitive field should benefit Bremen as it attempts to capture its fourth straight region championship on April 21 at The Lion in Bremen.

Carrollton boys 5, Central 0: Brent Gafford defeated Ken Startup at No. 1 singles (6-1, 6-3), Cope Walker defeated Austin Culpepper at No. 2 singles (6-4, 6-0) and Roger Schoerner defeated Tyler Cochran at No. 3 singles (7-6, 6-4). Michael Ingram and Joseph Micacchione beat Cody DeLoach and Scott Griffin at No. 1 doubles (6-2, 3-6, 7-5), while Hunter Bland and Rob Cooper defeated B.J. Daniel and Cooper Cole at No. 2 doubles (6-1, 6-0).
Carrollton girls 5, Central 0: Jordan Evans defeated Lauren Smith at No. 1 singles (6-2, 6-1), Lindsey Haack defeated Haley Lane at No. 2 singles (6-3, 6-1) and Rebeccah Buchanan defeated Kelly Griffin at No. 3 singles (6-2, 4-6, 3-2). Amanda Stewart and Maggie Fletcher beat Beth Baines and Whitney Johnson at No. 1 doubles (6-0, 6-0), while Joyce Nakano and Caroline Colpini defeated Amber Spicer and Sarah Hollingsworth at No. 2 doubles (6-0, 6-1).
