Anysha Hendrix, 2, clings to her grandmother, Jo Ann Daniel, Wednesday night while trick-or-treating at Greg and Linda Paul’s home on Cedar Street. The Pauls said they have been decorating for Halloween every year since 1995, and Greg said they easily spend several hundred dollars each year. He said the house sees about 1,000 trick-or-treaters on Halloween.

In addition to giving out candy, the Sailors had a haunted walkthrough for older trick-or-treaters.
Anita Wilson, in witch form, serves up some treats to Sharese Grant, 9, a “vampire of the West,” at Wilson’s home on South Street. Grant was trick-or-treating with her mother, brother and cousins. Wilson said her “potion” is made of taffy, eyeballs, Tootsie Rolls and fangs, and said she expected about 100 visitors by the end of Halloween night “Would you like an eyeball?” she asked several trick-or-treaters.
