Greggory Attaway
Greggory Scott Attaway, 47, of Potts Circle, Roopville, died July 14, 2007. He was born Dec. 26, 1959, in Carroll County to Sarah Ludene Richardson Cash and the late David Attaway.
He served in the U.S. Army, worked in construction and was a member of Veal Baptist Church.
Besides his mother, survivors include his daughter, Kasie Attaway, of Bremen, and a sister and brother-in-law, Veronica and Elison Key, of Villa Rica.
Funeral services will be conducted July 18 at 11 a.m. from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Ralph Caldwell and Rev. Wesley Boatman officiating. In accordance with the family’s wishes, the body will be cremated.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home July 17 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Isaah Byrom
Daniel “Isaah” Byrom, 17, of Hwy. 27 S., Roopville, died July 15, 2007, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be conducted July 19 at 2 p.m. from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home July 18 from noon to 2 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.

Mrs. Suzanne Chandler Davis, 66, of Hunters Way, Carrollton, died July 16, 2007.

Robert E. Jarrell
Robert E. Jarrell, a native of Atlanta, Ga., son of the late Ann H. Jackson Jarrell and Charles Shelby Jarrell, Nashville, Tenn. and Atlanta, Ga., died July 4, 2007. He was born July 1, 1923.
Mr. Jarrell is survived by his wife of 61 years, Grace Jones Jarrell; children, T. Alan Burden (Judy), of Warner Robins, Ga; Elaine Jarrell Shelly, of Birmingham, Ala; Don Boyd Jarrell (Billie Anne), of Austin, Texas, and their families (6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren); and a brother, Richard P. Jarrell, of Atlanta, Ga.
Bob was a 50+ year member and Past Master of Palestine Lodge #486 F&AM and 33 degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was owner of Robert Jarrell Personnel, Peachtree St., Atlanta, Ga. He retired from The Equitable Life Assurance Society as Administrative Officer of the Southern Region. He was a longtime member of Druid Hills Baptist Church and the Four Square Sunday School Class.
A memorial service will be held July 21, 2007, at 12 noon at Mars Hill Baptist Church, 4585 E. Hwy 166, Carrollton, GA 30116. 770-834-5131.

Sue Nichols
Sue McRee Nichols, 91, of Clarkesville, died July 14, 2007. She was born in Clarke County on May 25, 1916, to the late Clarence and Ruth McRee. She moved to Clarkesville in 1938. Mrs. Nichols was a member of Clarkesville First United Methodist Church, where she served on many committees and was an active member of the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include her husband, Lenos E. Nichols, of Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Judy Nichols, of Clarkesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Jud Hall, of Heard County, Jean and Garnett Hulsey, of Cornelia, Jane and Rodney Carpenter, of Clarkesville; sister-in-law, Agnes Nichols, of Clarkesville; 14 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held July 17 at 11 a.m. from the Clarkesville First United Methodist church with Rev. Rick Price officiating. Burial will follow in Clarkesville Memorial Cemetery.

Leon Patty
Mr. Esker Leon Patty, 73, of 607 C.R. 88, Fruithurst, Ala., died July 13, 2007. Mr. Patty was born July 3, 1934, in Cleburne County, Ala., to the late Arthur and Cora Williams Patty. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Reba Stallings and Venora Lyons, and three brothers, Bart Patty and Ewell Patty.
He worked for the Dixie Steel Company and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Mr. Patty is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy Robinson Patty, of Fruithurst; daughters, Angela Davis, of Fruithurst, and Shelia and Samuel Harris, of Montgomery, Ala.; son, Kenneth Patty, of Fruithurst; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and a brother and sister-in-law, Orval and Evelyn Patty, of Anniston, Ala.
Funeral services were held July 15 at 3 p.m. EST from Pine Grove Baptist church with Rev. Kenneth Layton and Rev. Chester Pesnell officiating. Music was provided by Douglas Campbell and the church choir. Pallbearers serving were Shannon Patty, Gary Robinson, Jimmy Cook, Effie Waters, Howard Deering and Douglas Campbell. Interment followed in Pine Grove Church Cemetery.

Billy Robinson
Mr. Billy Joe Robinson, age 76, of Mitchell Ave., Bowdon, Ga., passed away Sunday, July 15, 2007. He was born July 11, 1931, in Carroll County, Georgia to the late Ruth McIntyre Robinson and Melvin Robinson.
Mr. Robinson was a TV repairman, having worked for Kenmore Electronics. He also enjoyed fishing and was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny Melvin Robinson and Wendell Steve Robinson; also a granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Whitman.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Laster Robinson; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Billy Whitman, of Lineville, Ala.; a sister, Jackie Ethridge, of Waycross, Ga.; two grandchildren, Latrina and Wade Pauley and Christopher Whitman, all of Lineville, Ala.; three great-grandchildren, Autumn, Summer and Amber Pauley; also a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at 2 p.m. from Indian Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Damon Smith and Rev. Ralph Caldwell officiating.
Pallbearers will be Wade Pauley, Everett Pauley, Johnny Caldwell, Michael Caldwell, Keith Caldwell and Eddie Wayne Smith. Interment will follow in Indian Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
