Mrs. Mary Sue McElroy Lowman, 63, of 791 Waddell Rd., Bremen, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Mrs. Lowman was born in Haralson County on Sept. 1, 1945. She was the daughter of the late Ralph McElroy and the late Mildred Barkwell McElroy. Mrs. Lowman was nurse’s aid.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Wade, and second husband, James Mark Lowman.

Survivors include three daughters, Becky and Dwayne Lowman of Tallapoosa, Jackie and Tony Porter of Temple and Charlotte and Kenneth Lance of Bremen; one son, Edward Wade of Bremen; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charlie and Susie McElroy of Bremen and Paul and Wanda McElroy of Bremen; nine grandchildren, Steven Lowman, Leeanne Lowman, Riley Lowman, Derek Porter, Daniel Lance, Kayla Lance, Haley Wade, Adison Wade and Kelli Shaw-Morris; eight great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Travis Pritchard officiating. Interment followed in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Steven Lowman, Dwayne Lowman, Tony Porter, Kenneth Lance, Daniel Lance and Zach Morris.
