Mrs. Morris was born in Franklin, Georgia, on March 20, 1936, to the late Joe and Glema Hardy. She was a retired seamstress from Sewell Manufacturing Company in Bowdon. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Morris, and one sister, Berma Ann McCarty.
Survivors include her daughter, Deborah D. Dean and James W. Dean; son Warren Pearson Jr. and Brenda Pearson; grandchildren, Bianca Moak, Bridget Miller, Benjamin Pearson, Ken Thaxton, Amy Smith and Joshua Dean; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sybil Pike, Imogene Webb and Linda Paschal.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Morris will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Gray and Pastor Randy Rosbrook officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Ken Thaxton, Benjamin Pearson, Joshua Dean, Josh Smith, Caleb Pike and Roger Denney.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 22, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m.
