Cedartown took an early two run lead in the first inning and added four runs in the bottom of the fourth. Douglas County’s lone run came in the top of the third inning when Chaz Wagner reached first on a dropped third strike, advanced to second, moved to third on an Tyler Arnold single and the scored on a Drew Norton groundout.
David Ihrig picked up the loss on the mound. He allowed six runs, four earned, off of eight hits in 5-2/3 innings of work. He struck out 10 and walked one. Payton Myers threw the final one-third of an inning, allowing no hits and striking out one.
Kory Lindsey picked up the win for Cedartown. The threw the complete game, allowing only three hits while striking out eight and walking two.
Arnold led the DC offense with two of the three hits. He was 2-for-4. Conner Moroney went 1-for-3.
Blake Oxenreider went 3-for-4 for Cedartown, picking up a run and an RBI. Brandon Cheatwood was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI.
