Mr. Barry Neil Moran, 61, of Carrollton, Ga., died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at his residence. He was born Aug. 20, 1951, in Carrollton, the son of the late John Thomas Moran and Blanche Marie Herrin Moran.

He enjoyed fishing, cutting firewood, and spending time with his grandchildren, and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Full Gospel Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Howard.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Moran; children, Eric and Christie Moran of Temple, Patricia Padgett of Carrollton, and Donna and Bobby Shope of Carrollton; one godchild; sisters: Sercia Jacobs of Sargent, and Jenny Whitten of Newnan; brothers, Roger Moran of Roosterville and Anthony Moran of Temple; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at Mt. Carmel Full Gospel Church with the Rev. David Gray officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Pallbearers will be Daniel Padgett, Doc Padgett, Chris Suggs, Blake Moran, Bobby Shope Jr., Clifton Moran, Tony Holloway, and Coby Thomas. Burial will follow in Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Whitesburg.
