Mr. Peter Paul Symanowski Jr., 60, of Douglasville, Ga., passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013. He was born August 8, 1952, in West Point, N.Y.

Peter was a member of the North-South Skirmish Association (NSSA) and New Covenant United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his son, Severin Paul Symanowski; parents, Peter Paul and Margaret Mary Thompson Symanowski; and brother, John Edward Symanowski.

He is survived by his daughters, Adrienne Symanowski and her fiancé, Rommey Scott of Canton, Ga., Isabeau McMichael and husband, Dustin of Temple, Ga.; sisters, Margaret Anne Minnigh of Woodbridge, Va., Kathleen Marie Lamp of Boyce, Va., Rosemary Williams of Culpeper, Va.; brother, James Thomas Symanowski of Charleston, S.C.; mother-in-law, Catherine Adelma Dudrow of Villa Rica, Ga.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 6.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 7, in the Rosehaven Chapel with the Rev. Michael Dunbar officiating. Honoring his wishes he will be cremated following the services.
