Mr. David W. Mashburn, 51, of Carrollton, Ga., died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013. He was born October 28, 1961, in Carrollton, Ga., the son of the late Wayne Mashburn and Linda Scantlin Mashburn.

He worked in the construction business during his career, having worked most recently for Holloway Construction Co. He attended the Praise & Worship Center in Carrollton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Victor Garfield “Joey” Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ann McRae Mashburn of Carrollton; sisters, Joyce Brown Harwell of Carrollton and Becky Brown Crain of Birmingham; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24, at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel in Carrollton with Rev. Tony Collins and Rev. Stan Rogers officiating. Those serving as pallbearers will be his nephews: Roger Abbott, Keith Dean, Brian Reyher, Joseph Brown, Daniel Ivey, Michael Ivey and Jacie Horn. Burial will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
