The Chestnut Log boys eighth grade basketball team improved their record to 12-1 with a dominating win over Yeager Middle School on Tuesday. The Bears won the contest 70-37.

“It seems like they are developing nicely,” said CLMS coach Allen Ward. “I really feel that much of their motivation is coming from their loss against Chapel Hill Middle School mid-season.”

Jacori Wilson led the team with 21 points. He completed his double-double, adding 16 rebounds.

Joseph Solomon followed Wilson with 19 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Grant Howard added 10 points and nine assists while playing the point. Damion Howard added 12 points and eight rebounds under the basket. Tre Ingram had two points, four rebounds, and five assists.

Chestnut Log will look to avenge their lone loss today at Chapel Hill and will then prepare for the playoffs next week.
