James Melton Adams, born June 28, 1962, of Ranburne, Alabama, formerly of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away January 25, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Velma Adams; three brothers, Charles, Hulett and Jesse Adams; grandparents,

Rev. Clarence and Eliza Jiles and Joe and Estelle Adams; nephew, Jim Faulkner and great nephew, Joe Faulkner II.

Survivors include his sister, Rachel Faulkner of Ranburne, Alabama; niece, Tammy (Steve) Ware of Ranburne, Alabama; two nephews, Joe (Missy) Faulkner of Dallas, Georgia and Tracy (Jewell) Faulkner of Roopville, Georgia; uncle, Clifford Jiles of Carrollton, Ga.; and a number of cousins.

His body will be taken to the home of Guy Prewett, 1816 Mount Zion Road, Carrollton, GA 30117, Saturday and the family will receive friends after 1p.m.

Funeral service will be Sunday, January 27, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Word of Life Gospel Ministries with Rev. Keith Jiles and Rev. Tommy Bailey officiating. Pallbearers will be Joe Faulkner, Cliff Jiles, Drid Harper, Steven Allums, Johnny Rowell, Dakota Gaskin, Keith Harper, Craig Harper and Rance Jiles. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
