Mr. Kenneth Brasher, 85, of Roseburg, Oregon, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012. He was born April 29, 1927, in Carroll County, Georgia, the son of J. Herbert Brasher and Blanche Jordan Brasher.

Mr. Brasher was a graduate of Villa Rica High School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Upon his discharge, he traveled to Arcata, California, where he was employed in the timber industry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bertha Brasher Muse, and a brother, Donald Walker Brasher.

Mr. Brasher is survived by his wife, Rosemary; one daughter, Vickie and her spouse; four sons, David, Richard, Neal, Warren and their spouses; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Annette and H.D. Tyson of Villa Rica; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Sandy Brasher of Port Orange, Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Brasher enjoyed gardening, mountain climbing and hunting elk in eastern Oregon. He and his beloved wife, Rosemary, cherished the many journeys to a favorite restaurant on the coast, as well as driving their Jeep along the trails into the beautiful forests.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Mr. Brasher had a wonderful sense of humor and was loved by all who knew him.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Carroll County, Georgia.
