All the appointments were approved by 6-0 votes, with District 6 Commissioner George Chambers absent.
District 1 Commissioner Trent North was re-elected as BOC vice-chairman.
Catherine Brock, whose term expired Dec. 31, was re-elected to a new three-year term on the Board of Elections and Registration.
Dr. Laura Larson was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Board of Health, which expires on Dec. 31, 2016.
Thurman Pope was named to fill the two-year term on the District 3 seat of the Recreation Advisory Committee, formerly held by Ronald Burchfield, whose term expired Dec. 31.
Wilburn Albright was named to fill the District 6 seat on the Carroll County Water Authority Board, which expired Dec. 31, formerly held by Robert York.
Ed Cahill was named to fill a seat on the Region 6 Behavioral Health and Development Disabilities Planning Board, created by the resignation of Charles Thomas. The term expires June 30, 2014.
In other BOC action, the board approved by a 6-0 vote the advertising of proposed budget amendments, increasing revenues and appropriations by $50,023.
A scheduled zoning application hearing was tabled to a later meeting. The hearing would have considered the request of Mark and Justin Vaughn to amend the zoning ordinance and map for a 4.48 acre tract, located at South Van Wert and Rocky Branch roads, from residential (R-2) zoning to commercial (C) zoning.
