Mrs. Charlene Smith Tirella, age 80, of Bonner Road, Carrollton, died January 11, 2013. She was formerly from Terrance Ave., Albany, N.Y.

Mrs. Tirella was born in Clay, West Virginia, on May 25, 1932, the daughter of Henry Smith and Sara Margaret Collison Smith. She had worked as an administrative assistant with a law firm and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

She is survived by sons, Dr. Michael Tirella of Northville, N.Y., Charles P. Tirella Jr. of Lancaster Pa., and Robert L. Tirella of Carrollton, Ga.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles P. Tirella Sr., and daughter Susan D. Tirella.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, January 14, 2013, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. and funeral services at 11 a.m. at Almon Funeral Home with Father Rafael Carballo officiating.

In accordance with her wishes her body will be cremated and interment will be in New York at a later date.
