She was born in Carroll County on November 12, 1939, the daughter of the late Barney David Kittle and the late Lettie Malinda Walton Kittle.
She lived her entire lifetime in this area and worked for many years as a supervisor for Arrow Shirt Company in Bremen. For the last several years, she had worked as a cashier for the Villa Rica Walmart. She was a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and was a loving sister and friend. She had a magnetic personality and a smile that could brighten any room. She will be greatly missed by many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene T. Black, on December 29, 1992, and a sister, Dorothy Jane Adams.
Survivors include her siblings, Melba Lambert and her husband, Carl, of Carrollton, Catherine Brown of Villa Rica, Joe Kittle and his wife, Florence, of Carrollton, Charlie Kittle of Felton, Dale (Wormy) Kittle of Woodland, Alabama, and Susie Kittle of Temple; and a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the J. Hoyt Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Corky Addison officiating. Music will be provided by Dr. Addison and his wife, Wanda. Pallbearers will be Mike Moore, Michael Moore Jr., Danny Phillips, David Phillips, Barry Black, Randy Kittle and Rob Kittle. Interment will follow in the New Brooklyn Baptist Church Cemetery, New Brooklyn Church Road, Temple.
