Mr. Dalrymple was born June 29, 1938, to the late John Dalrymple and Beulah Hendley Dalrymple. He was a member of the Potter House Church and attended Bowdon Church of God. He will always be remembered as a very special loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dalrymple was preceded in death by his wife, Lera Dalrymple; and his brothers, Amos Dalrymple, Kurt Dalrymple, and Lem Dalrymple.
Survivors include his sister, Jerlean Morris; his daughters, Dale Driver and her husband, Timmy, of Ranburne, Alabama, and Gale Wiggins and her special friend, Billy Konchel, of Hiram, Georgia; his sons, Roy Dalrymple and his wife, Tammy, of Woodland, Alabama, and Danny Dalrymple and his wife, Lori, of Carrollton, Georgia; his grandchildren, Tina Driver, Tammy Davenport, Kristy Willis, Tracy Hooks, Joey, Jonathan, Jacob, Jennifer, and Jamie Dalrymple, Lisa Verrier, and Wendi Taylor; his 12 great-grandchildren and a large and loving extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 11, 2013, at 11 a.m. EST at the Chapel of Rainwater Funeral Home in Bowdon, Georgia. Rev. J.W. Daniel will officiate. Interment will follow at Bethel East Cemetery in Woodland, Alabama.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. EST.
