Mr. Shirley Burnett Eldredge, age 85, of Villa Rica, formerly of Paris, Ill., died Friday, January 4, 2013, at his residence.

Mr. Eldredge was born September 4, 1927 ,in Edgar County, Ill., the son of the late Burnett and Undie Geiling Eldredge. He lived his entire life in Paris before moving to Villa Rica to be closer to his family. He served as County Clerk of Edgar County, Ill., for over two decades and was a United States Veteran, having served in the Pacific Theater during WWII.

Mr. Eldredge was a Member of Lake Ridge Christian Church, The Paris Masonic Lodge #77 F&AM. He was a Shriner and member of The Kiwanis Club of Paris.

Survivors include four sons; Brad Eldredge and his wife Clare of St. Charles, Missouri, Greg Eldredge and his wife Peggy of Villa Rica, Georgia, Chris Eldredge and his wife Robin of Franklin, Tennessee, and Jason Eldredge and his wife Christine of Westfield, Indiana; one brother, Dale Crumrin of Marshall, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Scott Eldredge of Dallas, Texas, Abby Limberg of Douglasville, Georgia, Cary Eldredge of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, Ian Eldredge of Villa Rica, Georgia, Alexis Eldredge of St. Charles, Missouri, Brice Eldredge of Nashville, Tennessee, Brett Eldredge of Nashville, Tennessee, and Gigi Eldredge of Westville, Indiana; eight great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Sandra and Gene Smithson, Ocala, Fla., and Elaine Becker, Paris, Ill.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mrs. Anna Eldredge, on March 6, 2012.

Visitation for Mr. Eldredge will be held Friday, January 11, 2013, from 3 until 7 p.m. at Lake Ridge Christian Church in Paris, Ill.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 10 a.m. in Lake Ridge Christian Church in Paris, Ill. Burial will follow in Edgar Cemetery.
