Mrs. Norton was born in Carrollton, Georgia, on March 26, 1928, the daughter of the late S. C. “Bob” Cook and Annie Dean Cook. She was a homemaker and member of Beulah Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law, Connie Head Farmer and her husband David of Roopville, Elaine Head Eidson and her husband Jimmy of Carrollton; son and daughter-in-law, Richard Head and his wife Vicky of Douglasville; grandchildren, Amanda Farr, Ashley Eidson, Alli Eidson, Kristy Harris, Barry Head and Chris Head; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Landon Harris; sister, Hazel Brown of Carrollton; brother, John Thomas Cook of Carrollton.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph David Head Jr.; second husband, Bud Norton; son, Joe Head; and sister, Nellie Shirey.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Waldrep and Rev. Stephen Peeples officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Barry Head, Chris Head, Justin Harris, Mike Brown, Jimmy Shirey and Chris Woods.

Interment will follow in the Carrollton City Cemetery.
