He was born in Villa Rica on Feb. 10, 1937, the son of the late Jimmie Namon Bryant and the late Bersha Leola Wix Bryant. He lived his entire lifetime in this area and was a 1957 graduate of Villa Rica High School. He was a commercial truck driver for more than 50 years and retired from Austell Box Boards with 35 years of service. He was a member of Draketown Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Wallace Bryant, Richard Bryant and Huel Bryant, and one sister, Kathryn Bryant Conner.
He is survived by his son, Roger Bryant, and his wife Janet, of Douglasville; a sister-in-law, Nell Tapley of Villa Rica; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday, Dec. 23, at 2 p.m. at J. Hoyt Thomas Funeral Home in Villa Rica with the Rev. Marvin Gunter officiating. Interment will follow in the New Georgia Baptist Church Cemetery in Paulding County.
The family received friends at the funeral home Saturday, Dec. 22, from 5-8 p.m.
