Mr. Hallden was born July 3, 1932, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of the late Charles and Alice Hallden. He was a graduate of the University of North Carolina receiving a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He worked for Texas Gas Transmission Co. of Owensboro, Ky., as a systems analyst for a number of years. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 12 years. Mr. Hallden was Methodist by faith.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Nancy O’Dell Hallden; daughters and son-in-law, Laura and Bob Twardos of Suwanee, Ga., and Donna Parker of Hermit, Calif.; son, Robert Hallden of Jacksonville, Fla.; stepdaughters, Pamela Wilson of Kingsport, Tenn., and Rebecca Oviedo of Jasper, Ga.; stepson, Jeffrey Sergeant of Martinez, Ga.; brother, Alan Hallden of West Lake Village, Calif.; and several grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Thursday, Dec. 6, at 4 p.m. at J. Collins Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Derek Porter officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 4 p.m.
