Mr. Jackson was born Feb, 4, 1946, in Harvest, Ala., the son of the late Erdie B. Jackson and Mrs. Pauline Hargrove Jackson. He worked as a mechanic, most recently for Case Power and Equipment Co. before becoming disabled. Mr. Jackson was a veteran and Baptist by faith.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Lonnie Daniel of Carrollton; a son, Michael Jones of Villa Rica; brothers, Jerry Wayne Jackson, Winston Jackson and E.L. Jackson, all of Harvest, Ala.; sisters, Linda Jane Hovis, Harvest Ala., Birdie Mae Randolph of Harvest, Ala., Elizabeth Pigg of Toney Ala., and Geraldine Durham of Athens, Ga.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Jackson was also preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Ann Free Jackson, and brother Charles Jackson.
