Dwight Wendell Nixon, 60, of Bagwell Road, Carrollton, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012.

Mr. Nixon was born in Carrollton on March 29, 1952, the son of Jerrell Wendell Nixon and Mildred Bass Nixon.

He had worked as an electrician with West Georgia Electric and Hannah Electric. He was of the Baptist faith.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his daughters, Michelle Nixon Torres of Woodstock, Renee Nixon of Marietta, Tyler Marie Nixon of Waterford, Conn.; son, Dwight Nickolas Nixon of Carrollton; six grandchildren; brothers, Noel Nixon and Troy Nixon, both of Carrollton.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Nixon.

The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home in Carrollton on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be Friday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. at Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Harris officiating. Pallbearers will be Sean Sutton, DeAndre Curry, Tony Curry, Landon Cosper, Mark Hart and Eric Haynes. Burial will be in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
