Mr. Billy Ray Houston, 72, of Gaylesville passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at his residence.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. (CST) Wednesday at Perry Funeral Home Chapel in Centre, Ala., with the Rev. Jimmy Hall officiating. Burial followed in Weiss Lake Memorial Garden.
Pallbearers were Tim Hayes, Tyler McElroy, Adam Carter, Joseph Houston, Jonathan Bishop, Patrick Cline, Blake Shellhorse and Casey Wayne Lyall.
Survivors include his wife, Imogene Sanders Houston; sons, Jackie W. Houston of Bremen, Ga., Jessie R. Houston of Gaylesville; brothers, Bobby Houston of Temple, Ga., Jimmy Houston of Buchanan, Ga., Jerry Houston of Heard County, Ga., Johnny Houston of Bremen, Ga., Jeff Houston of Temple, Ga.; sisters, Betty Jo Duke of Rockmart, Ga., Janice Adams of Cedartown, Ga., Patricia Adkins of Lindale, Ga., Pamela Dunn of Cedartown, Ga., Peggy McCall of Bremen, Ga., Martha Coleman of Cave Spring, Ga., Susie McElroy of Buchanan, Ga., Linda Carter of Buchanan, Ga.; one grandson, Caleb Ray Houston; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Houston was a native of Carroll County, Ga., the son of the late Jackson and Joanna Leatherwood Houston and was of the Baptist faith.

Judy Couch Darsey, 57, of Newnan passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2012. Mrs. Darsey was born in Atlanta on April 21, 1955. She was the Daughter of the late James I. Couch and Johnie B. Robinson Couch.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Jonathan and Joseph Darsey III and one brother Chris Couch.
Survivors include her husband Joseph Darsey Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Jack Jackson of Tallapoosa; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jonathan and Donna Darsey.
Memorial services were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at Tallapoosa First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Hatchett and Bro. Lawrence Robinson officiating. Music was rendered by Taylor Jackson.
