Mrs. Mildred Robinson, a resident of Countryside Nursing Home in Buchanan, Ga., and formerly of Bowdon, Ga., died Oct. 12, 2012. She was 94.

Mrs. Robinson was born in Newnan, Ga., on Sept. 20, 1918, to the late James and Emma Graham Parrish. She was a homemaker and a member of Poplar Springs Primitive Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard “Lent” Robinson Sr.; her son, Leonard Robinson Jr.; her brother, Raymond Parrish; and her sisters, Ruth Huey, Elizabeth Daniel and Lois Smith.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby Robinson, Donnie and Mary Robinson, and Ted and Nadine Robinson; her daughters and sons-in-law, Mernette and Fred Hicks, Carolyn and Jimmy Cook, Melinda and Terry Cook, and Jan and Charles Rosson; 14 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m. at Poplar Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Elder Neal Pritchett and Elder Dave Chandler will officiate and Mrs. Robinson’s nephew, J.W. Daniel, will offer a eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Elder Tommy Patterson conducting the graveside services. Prior to the services, her body will lie in the church from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, Oct. 14, from 4-7 p.m.
