Mr. Adams was born in Carrollton, Ga., on Nov. 6, 1924, the son of the late Charlie Winston Adams and Leila Bonner Adams. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and after his military service he followed his family’s tradition of masonry work for 40 years. He retired from Beers Construction as a Brick mason and was a member of the Carrollton First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia S. Adams and son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Vicki Adams of Douglasville. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Bertha Tuggle, Eunice McWhorter, Audrey Wright; and brothers, Dumah Adams, and Artie Adams.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Almon Funeral Home with Pastor John Latimer officiating.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth McWhorter, Dennis McWhorter, Farris Shaheen, Robby Morgan, Bob Jansen and Rod Stipe.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
