Jessica Nicole Lee, age 11, of Carrollton, Ga., passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012, after an extended illness. She was born August 2, 2001, in Carrollton, Ga., the daughter of Jody and Shelley Jones Lee.

Jessica was a sixth grade student of Holy Ground Baptist Academy where she was active in sports and softball and basketball were her favorites. Jessica enjoyed fishing so much because she was proud she could bait her own hook. Also she was a member of Holy Ground Baptist Church.

Jessica was preceded in death by her grandfather, Truman Stringer, and her uncle, Matthew Stringer.

Survivors include her parents, Jody and Shelley Lee; brothers, Blake Lee and Christian Lee; grandparents, J.D. and Ellen Lee, Dianne Entrekin and Charles Jones, all of Carrollton; great-grandmother, Zelma Odom of Carrollton; aunts and uncles, Michael and Peggy Thrower, Julie Parham and Cassidy Jones; cousins, Wesley and Riley Lovvorn and Ian Parham.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 7, 2012, at 3 p.m. from Holy Ground Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Runels and Bro. Kelly Runels officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Farmer, Jamie Perry, Jeremy Kitchens, Jesse Kitchens, Dilan Brown, Jason Moore, Ian Parham and Jonathon Moore. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Bro. Greg Yancey and Bro. Michael White officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m.
