Tony enjoyed a thirty-year career in Fire Service the first 26 with the Carroll County Fire Dept. where he attained the rank of Captain. His last four years were spent with the Haralson County Fire Dept. In 1992 he was certified as a Georgia Smoke Diver and was given the number of 526.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Davison; father and step-mother, Robert and Jane Davison of Temple, Ga.; mother and step-father, Joyce and Will Sorrells of Tallapoosa, Ga.; children, Jennifer Davison and Josh Davison, both of Carrollton; brother and family, Wes, Terri, and Austin Davison and Anna Denard of Temple, Ga.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Burt and Emma Stevens of Temple, Ga.; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Darrell and Becky Stevens of Temple and Faith Smith of Bremen.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 6, 2012, at 11 a.m. from Midway Church with Mr. Darrell Stevens, Chief Brian Walker, Mr. Gary Thomas and Mr. Nick Neely officiating. Pallbearers will be Keith Sudduth, Joe Horsley, Nick Neely, Tad Richardson, Darren Edwards, Michael Hopson, Tommy Hopson and Jessie Piepmeier.
In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated following the service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
