Rebecca Jan Poss, 63, of Junction City, Ga., formerly of Carrollton, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012.

She was born in Centre, Ala., on June 9, 1949, the daughter of the late Hubert Arnold Brashier and the late Ellie Jo Tucker Brashier. She and her husband, Michael, moved from Carrollton to Junction City about three years ago. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Michael Poss of Junction City; her children, Michael Burdick of Carrollton, Donna Evans of Lawrenceville, Tony Shelton of Cumming, Amy Childress of Villa Rica, Amanda Milner of Villa Rica, Stacey Benefield of Heflin, Ala., and Jamie Jones of Carrollton; a brother, Denny Brashier of Douglasville; sisters, Julie Cotton and Terri Reece, both of Douglasville; 15 grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 4, at 2 p.m. at J. Hoyt Thomas Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Layman Steve Tucker officiating. Pallbearers will be Mitchell Saade, Merle Milner, Austin Holcombe, Michael Evans, J. J. Benefield and Steve Childress. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Douglasville.
