Mr. Gibbs was born June 1, 1926, in Cleburne County, Ala., to the late Dock and Donie Langley Gibbs. He was a farmer and a member of Ranburne First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sons, Michael C. Gibbs and Alan C. Gibbs; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 10 a.m. (Georgia time) at Ranburne First Baptist Church. Rev. James Benefield and Rev. Jerome Mitchell will officiate. Mr. Gibbs’ grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow at Cleburne Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 5, from 5 to 8 p.m. (Georgia time).
