On Saturday the Wolves jumped out to a two-set lead over North Alabama before the Lions fought back to force a fifth and deciding set. West Georgia took the final set 15-7 and the match.

Again it was Reul pacing the Wolves offense with another 17-kill performance and led with 18 digs. Holt had 14 digs and Hipple added 11.

West Georgia’s final match of the weekend, a trip to Christian Brothers, put an end to the Wolves three-game winning streak as UWG dropped the five-set contest.

The Wolves won the first set, but dropped the next two before forcing a fifth set with a fourth set win. In the fifth set the Wolves ran out of gas dropping the deciding set 15-11.

Reul completed the weekend with her strongest performance, 21 kills, as Helen Menchinger reached double digits with 10. Holt also stepped her game up with 20 digs while Hipple (14), Reul (12) and Samantha Drane (10) also reached double-digit digs.

For the weekend Amanda Miller led UWG with 111 assists in the three matches.

West Georgia will remain on the road for its fourth straight match traveling to Shorter for a 7 p.m. game on Friday.
