DALLAS — The Villa Rica High School football team became the fourth straight victim of the East Paulding defense, as the Wildcats were shut out, 38-0, on the road Friday night in the Region 5-AAAAA contest.

The Wildcats (1-3, 1-3 Region 5-AAAAA) held the No. 5 East Paulding (5-0, 5-0) offense off the board in the first quarter, but were unable to get anything going against the Raider defense.

Getting some offense going, the Raiders took a 10-0 lead into halftime before they started to click in the second half.

A 21-point third quarter helped put the game away before the Raiders added one more score in the fourth for the 38-0 final.

Villa Rica returns to action next week at Woodland, Cartersville.
