With the University of West Georgia football season inching closer and closer, season tickets will go on sale to the general public Monday for the Wolves’ six-game 2012 home schedule.

Currently, season tickets, parking and hospitality passes are available for all donors to the West Georgia Athletic Foundation, with the next wave of season tickets being available Monday for fans who have not donated to the WGAF. To purchase parking and hospitality passes, a fan must be a WGAF donor.

West Georgia, which went 6-4 last season and capped off the year with a thrilling, 39-35 victory over No. 1 Delta State at University Stadium, opens its 2012 slate at home against Point University on Sept. 1.

The Wolves have six home games this fall, including an Oct. 6 homecoming tilt against Gulf South Conference rival Valdosta State, as well as playing a Thursday night home game as the GSC-TV Live Game of the Week against North Alabama on Oct. 18. It is one of two televised games for West Georgia in 2012, as the Wolves will be featured on ESPN3 on Oct. 27 against West Texas A&M, which has an 8 p.m. start at University Stadium.

Along with the opportunity to purchase season tickets for the reserved chairback section come Monday, fans also have the option of buying single-game tickets, beginning Aug. 6.

West Georgia plays its first two games of the year at home, with Tusculum College coming in on Sept. 8 for a Week 2 showdown. After that, the Wolves hit the road for Miles College (Sept. 15), then have an open week before kicking off their GSC schedule at West Alabama (Sept. 29).

Then along with the Valdosta State (Oct. 6), North Alabama (Oct. 18) and West Texas A&M (Oct. 27) home dates, the Wolves close out their 2012 home schedule against GSC newcomer, Shorter, on Nov. 3.
