George Marion Arp, 68, of Covington, Ga., died May 23, 2012.
Mr. Arp was born on Aug. 18, 1943, in Bartow County the son of the late Luther Perryman Arp and Jane Barnette Arp.
He is survived by his children, Rob and Robin Arp of Kennesaw, George and Cindy Arp of Lawrenceville and Danny and Jana Arp of Covington; sisters, Barbara Martin of Cartersville and Glenda and Bobby Lewis of Douglasville; brother, John and Gail Arp of Bremen; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside service with military honors was conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 28, at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Ga.

Funeral services were conducted at noon Friday, May 25, at Crawford Chapel United Methodist Church Bremen with the Rev. E. Bernard Campbell officiating. Burial followed at Waco Church Cemetery Waco.

Retired Captain W. F. “Bill” Rooksm, 69, of Temple died Thursday, May 24, 2012.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 27, at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with the Revs. Wesley Forrister and Terrell McBrayer officiating.
Entombment was in the mausoleum at Carroll Memory Gardens with the Georgia State Patrol Honor Guard providing honors.
