• Keith Crawford needs to address the needs plaguing the city of Bowdon and stop his talk about annexing. He needs to see that codes already in existence are enforced and add a blight tax on all run-down and poorly maintained property, both the vacant and occupied. With this tax money maybe the city can provide the services to residents who choose to live in the city of Bowdon. Those of us outside of Bowdon choose to live independently, not needing or wanting the so-called services the city claims to provide.

• Be careful, Bowdon residents, your city leaders are talking about expanding the city limits. Are you ready to pay with your taxes the cost of sewage, street lights, trash collection, police protection and street maintenance for the new residents? What do you get in return? Oh, I forgot, you’re BIGGER!

• Started receiving unsolicited emails from Carroll Tea Party Patriots (how did they get my address?). They stated they do not endorse specific candidates, only support issues. Then they endorse candidates (unofficially). Like any political party, they talk out of both sides of their mouth.

• Kudos to Gary Duke for his comments in the Times-Georgian. Rep. Westmoreland’s article belonged on the opinion page, not the front page. His comments, as usual, contained a very biased, political slant on reality.
