Helen Ruby Robinson Gober, 87, of 5215 Highway 78, Bremen, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011. She was born Oct. 8, 1923, to the late Hobert and Ruby Evans Irick. Mrs. Gover was a member of Kansas Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Robinson; son, Jimmy Robinson; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Tony Gray; sisters, Mary Raily, Eula Campbell and Jimmie Lee Owten; brothers, Paul Irick, Kenneth Irick, Roy Irick, David Phillips and Huey Irick.

Surivors include her husband of 28 years, J.L. Gober of Bremen; daughter, Judy Robinson Bell of San Antonio, Texas; sisters and brother-in-law, Shirley and Paul Williams of Knoxville, Tenn. and Billie Guarinello of Lady Lake, Fla.; stepdaughter and her spouse, Melanie and Jimmy Carter of Middleburg, Fla.; stepson and his wife, Rev. Ron and Deb Gober of Cartersville; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were May 14 at 2 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home in Tallapoosa with Rev. Ron Gober officiating. Music was by Diane Gray and Bryant Hand. Pallbearers were Jay Gober, Danny Prichard, Melvin Gober, Jeffrey Jones, David Phillips and Phillips Robinson. Burial followed in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Buchanan.
