James Milton Brannon, 80, of Buchanan died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010.

Mr. Brannon was born in Haralson County on Sept. 5, 1930, the son of the late Carey Brannon and the late Pearl Weaver Brannon. Mr. Brannon was a retired independent trucker.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Crawford Brannon.

Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Estavanko of Carrollton; son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Mary Brannon of Buchanan; sister, Shirley Coggins of Atlanta; two grandchildren and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. at Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel in Buchanan with Rev. Richard Brannon and Rev. Malcolm Burgess officiating. Burial will follow in the Brannon-Perryman Cemetery with Larry Atkins, Frank Crawford, Stan Carnes, Ben Carnes, Ronnie Crawford and Terry Crawford serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
