Mr. Thomas K. “Tommy” Lyle, age 75, of Carrollton, Georgia, died Saturday, September 15, 2012.

Mr. Lyle was born in Coweta County, Georgia, on April 13, 1937, the son of Bertha Harper Lyle and the late Thomas Kermet Lyle Sr.

He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army and was owner/operator of Lyle Heating and Air Condition Services. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church where he also served as a deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ella Boatright Lyle; mother, Bertha H. Lyle of Carrollton; sons, Michael and Beverly Lyle of Carrollton, Kevin Lyle and Cindy Smith of Carrollton; grandchildren, Amber Lyle, Erin Lyle, Abbie Smith; great-grandson, Riley Michael Rayburn; sister-in-law, Edith Boatright; brothers-in-law, Bobby and Betty Boatright of Apopka, Florida, Doug and Jimmie Boatright of Flowery Branch; niece, Cheryl Fletcher of Winter Gardner, Florida; and nephew, John Glen Boatright of Hiram.

Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Thurman Henderson and Rev. Mike Harris officiating. Music will be by Tommy Muse. Pallbearers will be Steve Thompson, Julian Cook, Steve Forbus, Dawson Richards, Tom Defreitas and Jerry Latimer.

Interment will be in the church cemetery with American Legion Post #143 folding and presenting the flag.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shady Grove Baptist Church Family Life Center.
