I am so proud of Jim Watters! Finally someone in office who is not a politician but a person “for the people.” It is despicable that City Council members want to raise their retirement retroactively to 2002. That speaks of greed all over the place. It is my view that public “servants” should not be paid at all but do it as a “service” and as an “honor” to serve, voluntarily, by vote of “the people.” Not as a means to a paycheck. It’s how many feel about commissions, boards of education, and councils. It’s why the masses hate government. Jim Watters, thank you for being a servant rather than a selfish soul satisfying his/her ownself.
