Lithia Springs waits to find out whether it will be a No. 1 or No. 2 seed when the boys Region 5-AAAA tournament begins.
That depends on Pope. If Pope defeats Kell on Tuesday, Lithia Springs will be a No. 2 seed. If Pope loses, the Lions will be No. 1.
Lithia Springs plays Tuesday night in a non-region game at Carrollton. Only the boys will play.
Douglas County hosts Villa Rica. The Tigers have clinched a No. 7 seed in the tournament.
Alexander plays at Osborne, trying to get into a three-way tie for fourth place in the region with Chapel Hill, which it lost to on Saturday, and Sprayberry, a team it defeated Dec. 10.
ALEXANDER IN WRESTLING SECTIONALS
Cody Starnes, Jaime Prescott, Berkley Stewart, Chad Starnes, Morgan Houdman, Cody Dickerson, Omar Ansari, Alex Head, Marcus Hart, DeAndre Sims, Austin Barrett and Don Monette will represent Alexander in the wrestling sectional tournament at Cass High in Cartersville beginning Friday. The Cougars are represented in every class except for 171 and 215 pounds.
DOUGLAS COUNTY'S ROBINSON MOREHOUSE-BOUND
Douglas County offensive lineman Ajene D. Robinson has signed to play at Morehouse College.
