He is survived by his wife, Norma B. McClure Scalera of Temple; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet Prosser of Temple, Cynthia and Jack Rayment of Florida, Julie Ann and Steve Strickland of Marietta, Angela and Mark Cohoon of Michigan; sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph Anthony Scalera Jr. and fiance, Kim Tillman of Villa Rica, Donald Ray and Marie Britton of Florida, Michael L. and Connie Britton of Carrollton, Michael James Scalera and fiance, Jackie Bouysou of Buford, Craig and Stephanie Malcom of Villa Rica; brother, Charles Scalera Jr. of New York; grandchildren, Alicia Scalera of New York, Katherine and Aaron Mitchell of Kennesaw, Stephen Strickland of Marietta, Tyler Cohoon of Michigan, Nicole Prosser of Temple, Taylor Scalera of Dacula, Torie Scalera of Dacula, Lance Cohoon of Michigan, Zachery Scalera of Buford, Nathan and Samantha Conner of Carrollton, Tyler Conner of Carrollton, Kristin Conner of Carrollton, Breanna Britton of Carrollton, Kaitlyn Britton of Carrollton; great-grandchildren, Blain Conner of Carrollton, Trent Conner of Carrollton, Scarlett Conner of Carrollton, Blaklie Coats of Douglasville, Kayden Patterson of Villa Rica. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Saturday, September 29, 2012, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 30, 2012, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens.
