Mr. Lovvorn was born in Bowdon, Ga., on November 19, 1913, to the late William “Boss” and Janie Lovvorn. He was retired from Textile Rubber in Bowdon and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ezelle Lovvorn; his son, Gary Lovvorn, his son-in-law, Aldred Truett; and one brother and three sisters.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Angela Lovvorn of Greenwood, S.C., Norris and Sue Lovvorn of Ranburne, Ala.; his daughter, Janice Truett of Bowdon, Ga.; his grandchildren, Larry Lovvorn, Terry Lovvorn, Pam Stack, Randy Lovvorn, Missy Lovvorn, Craig Truett, Chris Truett, Candi Wise, Stacy Lovvorn, Shane Lovvorn and Suzanne Rehberg; 25 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Posey and Edna McLeod of Ranburne, Ala.; and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Hyde and Nell Jo Cofield, both Ranburne, Ala..
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 28, 2012, at 1 p.m. from the Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Stewart and Rev. Buddy Gentry officiating. Music will be furnished by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Prior to the funeral services, Mr. Lovvorn will be placed at the church from noon until the funeral hour.
