Jeannene Chambers Arrington, 79, of Bowdon, Ga., died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013. She was born Oct. 25, 1933, in Bowdon, the daughter of the late Marvin Chambers and Myrl Kelley Chambers.

She retired from Playtex in 1984 with 30 years of service, and was a member of Cross Plains Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Hugh Dorsey Chambers; a sister, Patricia Copeland; and a stepson, Mike Arrington.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin H. Arrington of Bowdon; sisters, Dale Chambers of Carrollton, Sue Weber of Ranburne, Ala., June C. Jones of Temple, Mary “Marie” Townsend of Roopville, and Nell Weber of Wellington, Ala.; brothers, Kenneth Chambers of Heflin, Ala., Charles Chambers of Bowdon, Donald Chambers of Newnan and Marvin Chambers of Roopville.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Jason Suits and Bryan Cox officiating. Music was rendered by the Boatright Family and Linda and Tommy Rice. Pallbearers were Dennis Weber, Scott Chambers, Steve Chambers, Andy Chambers, Shane Mulkey, Tim Copeland, Billy Chambers and Randy Chambers. Burial followed in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church cemetery.
