Mr. James Allen Moore, 85, of Carrollton, Ga., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012. He was born March 8, 1927, in Carrollton, Ga., the son of the late Dalton Moore and Jewell Walker Moore.

Mr. Moore was a retired shipping clerk with Southwire in Carrollton and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Lowell United Methodist Church for over 50 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Williams Moore; and a son, Randy Moore.

Survivors include his son, Ronnie Moore of Carrollton; grandchildren, Jeremy Moore and Michael Moore; and great-grandchild, Jasmine Moore.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Bryan and Mr. Richard Griffin officiating. Those serving as pallbearers will be Mac Lewis, Dale Williams, Loyd Hester, Ronnie Musick, Eldred Little, and Doyal Williams. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
