Hoyt Larry Hansard of Fruithurst, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at his residence. He was born in Austell, Georgia, June 2, 1955, son of the late Samuel Jackson Hansard and Alice Azilee Pruitt Hansard.

Mr. Hansard was a heavy equipment operator for SDM Designs.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ruth Pugh Hansard; a daughter, Mary Kay Hansard; a son and daughter-in-law, Eric Hoyt and Stacy Hansard; a grandson, Samuel Dale Hansard, all of Fruithurst, Ala.; and a sister, Mildred Elizabeth Smith of Hiram.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.

Services will be Saturday, February 9, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Murphy and Rev. Freddie Parham officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Eric Hansard, Dale Hansard, Robert Hoyt, Russell Brown, Brandon Heath, Marshall Day, V.J. Bott, Fuzzy and Wild Man. Interment will follow in Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Cleburne County, Ala.
